This is my first post for a moment.
I've spent the last 8 months or so, figuratively speaking, under a rock with my head down.
My journey in the music business started in 2008 and the last almost 7 years has been focused on how to make what would for many appear to be an impossible goal of building the biggest and fairest music company in the world a reality.
In this period I've explored most every possible way to try and make this happen.
Having already been in bed with the majors (and big indies), I already knew this was not the way.
I've looked at how to do this with private equity.
With venture capitalists.
I also looked deeply into how it would look to go public.
But, all of these pathways turned out to be directions I just knew would mean I had no choice but to compromise my own vision for what I believe the biggest and fairest music company in the world should look like.
Worst, it could lead to eventualities where the powers that be in the existing ‘broken’ music business could attempt to take over (and in turn destroy) the values this amazing music company will have within the DNA of the culture.
This possible eventuality is something I just could not allow to happen.
8 months ago I believed I was close to understanding how to make this all happen.
Sometimes we need to take a moment to go deep, to switch off from the outside world and have the freedom to truly think forward.
Today I am sure beyond doubt that I have figured out the final missing pieces to be able to fulfill this huge goal.
I’m excited to announce that on 10th September, 2025 I’ll be doing a keynote presentation in Mexico City where I’ll be revealing exactly how, including innovations and concepts that are set to change the music industry forever.
The keynote will be broadcast inside of the revolutionary software system my team and I have been working on for the past year called ArtistOS, which is also launching on September 10th.
